With the Excellence XS Ex zone 2 balances safety can be guaranteed. If handling toxic or hazardous substances the balance does not need to be touched thus providing extra-safety for your staff.
Explosive areas need special consideration, but performance should not be compromised. Hazardous areas often have limited space which requires the terminal to be separated from the weighing platform. Because user safety is key, equipment used in potentially explosive environments has to fully comply with the applicable directives.

Excellence XS Ex zone 2 balances offers a modular balance available in three platform sizes with a weighing range from 0.1mg up to 64 kg. And when the substances involved are toxic, the freely placeable and individually configurable ErgoSens enables the balance to be operated without touching it! The possibility to place the terminal on a stand not only offers space-saving but also avoids soiling the terminal. It can also be very useful when weighing in large containers.
Precision and high readability
When a large number of different components with a precision of 1mg in hazardous areas is required, a balance with sufficient capacity and high readability help to avoid time-consuming transfer of containers. For such situations, METTLER TOLEDO offers a unique solution: the XS5003SXDR, with 5 kg capacity, 1 mg readability and a tall draft shield with sliding doors which do not protrude behind the balance.
